More Snow!

We got hit with more blizzard snow just a few days later. Chris has had off of work for the last 2 days. Yay!!!

Luckily, we knew the snow was coming, so we drove out to get our supply of local raw milk and cream. We went to the (mobbed) library for new videos. We bought a new shovel (the very last one in the store--after calling around to 5 stores). We have made more ice cream, shoveled a fair bit, and have watched very little of the videos. We've mostly been painting old magazine pages (Aminah loves the process of painting so much!!!), making valentines, baking cookies and playing hide-and-seek. I uncluttered our crafting area also. I look forward to the postal service working again, so we can get our valentines in the mail for folks!

We stayed in most of yesterday, as it was blizzardy; snowing, windy and cold. Today was bright and sunny. We shoveled and played, then walked to a "nearby" (45 minute walk through snow) to a pizza shop for lunch and ice cream. It was fun. We had lots of snowball play on the way home. Aminah went in the stroller there, so it was faster, and she caught a short nap. She walked most the way home, so she could collect and throw snowballs. That is, until we made her get in the stroller again so we could get home. (I had to pee.) We had been out for 4 plus hours when we got home. I came in to do some yoga. Chris and Aminah sledded outside for another 2 hours. They had to dig a trench to make it work at all. Then, it needed human power to make it work, since our main hill is not very steep at all. But they figured out a great system for fun!
